Onomichi Channel View and Alleys Course
The course is themed around the view of the Onomichi Channel and the charms of Onomichi’s slopes.

2 Ropeway Sanroku Station〈Japan Heritage Visitor Center〉
The visitor center is convenient for visitors to Senkoji Park via the ropeway. Services include guidance for anyone lost in Onomichi, and the temporary storage of personal belongings.

3 Senkoji Park summit observatory
Senkoji Park serves as a symbol of Onomichi. In spring it offers a view of cherry blossoms selected one of the best hundred in Japan. And in autumn it stages the Onomichi Lantern Festival.

7 Tenneiji Temple〈Japan Heritage〉
A landmark in the town renewed for miniature gardens. The three-storied pagoda half-way up Mt. Senkoji was originally a five-storied pagoda. The majestic view of the Onomichi Channel calls to mind the Middle Ages.

8 Path of cats
The “path of cats” is a narrow stretch of 200 meters between the Manekineko Art Museum and the three-story pagoda at Tenneiji Temple. The path was so named since 1998, when artist Shunji Sonoyama began placing Fukuishi-neko, or lucky stones painted with the faces of cats, on the trail.

9 Ushitora Shrine
Ushitora Shrine is said to be the oldest Shinto shrine in Onomichi. The camphor tree in the grounds, as old as 900 years of age and with a circumference of 7 meters, is designated a Natural Monument.
