Jikoji Temple

Jikoji Temple is recognizable for the impressive stone gate leading to the slope within the grounds. The temple houses a painting of the bodhisattva Fugen Enmyo, said to prolong life since medieval Japan and designated a National Treasure. The temple offers the fun experience of making a Nigiri Botoke, or “squeezed Buddha.”
