〈Project for conveying the appeal of Japan Heritage〉
Created by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2015, "Japan Heritage" is a system which packages together the various tangible and intangible cultural assets scattered about a region, certifying a story that conveys the culture and tradition of Japan. Onomichi City was certified in the initial year, making it part of the first Japan Heritage.
