Path of cats
The “path of cats” is a narrow stretch of 200 meters between the Manekineko Art Museum and the three-story pagoda at Tenneiji Temple. The path was so named since 1998, when artist Shunji Sonoyama began placing Fukuishi-neko, or lucky stones painted with the faces of cats, on the trail. Visitors are invited to wander like a cat and discover the countless shops and museums tucked away in the path.
