The Onomichi Board of Trade building dates back to the Taisho period (1912–26). The first floor offers an introduction to the history of trade in Onomichi, and the second floor replicates the original assembly hall. The site was home to the Onomichi magistrate’s office in the Edo period (1603–1868).
